Prof. Weizhong Ji is the director of the Neurology Department of Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital in China, with 25 years of clinical experience. Mainly engaged in research on cognitive impairment caused by high-altitude hypoxia and the acceleration of brain aging in low-oxygen environments.At present, the changes in the expression of proteins related to brain aging and the imaging changes after long-term chronic exposure to low oxygen have been initially revealed

Shiqi Lin is an Associate Professor at School of Humanities and Social Science, Fuzhou University, China. Her main study interests are effects of social and environmental factors on population health and aging. She uses longitudinal data and statistical model to investigate the long-arm effects of childhood experiences on health in mid- and later life. In this paper, she focuses on the relationship between childhood socio-economic status and depressive symptoms in later life and whether parenting styles can help explain this relationship.

Theophilos Rifiotis is a Full Professor on the Graduate Programme in Social Anthropology at both the Federal University of Santa Catarina and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has also taught at the Université de Montréal, the Universidad de Buenos Aires and several other universities in Brazil. He is a researcher at the Centre de Recherches Appliquées et Interdisciplinaires sur les Violences Intimes at the Université Laval. He coordinates the Laboratory for the Study of Violence and the Cyberanthropology Research Group.

Jinsheng lu is the Director of the Tropical Geriatrics Institute at Hainan Provincial Geriatric Hospital, China.   With over 20 years of clinical experience in top-tier hospitals, including training at Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, Dr. Lu specializes in geriatric medicine, neurodegenerative disorders, and critical care. He has led multiple provincial research projects, published several SCI indexed papers, and holds patents in geriatric care. His current research focuses on anti-aging mechanisms, healthy aging, and tropical geriatric medicine.  

Angela Marie Abbatecola, MD, PhD specialist in geriatric medicine and internationally recognized for her work in geriatric medicine. Her research focuses on frailty, cognitive decline, diabetes, aging-related metabolic and inflammatory processes. She has held research roles at the U.S. National Institute on Aging and contributed to major longitudinal studies. She is also a governing board member of GeroCovid and GeroCovid Vax initiatives. Serves as the principal investigator of the multicenter study “ValoreUtile” (launched in 2024), evaluating combined cognitive stimulation and physical activity interventions in patients with dementia. Since 2024, she serves as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the Medical school at Link Campus University in Rome, Italy.

Dr Akanu Abass Obasi is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician and a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, a Master’s degree in Diabetes, and a Master’s degree in Falls, Osteoporosis Management and DXA Reporting for Clinicians. His research focuses on ageing and rehabilitation, with a particular interest in improving health outcomes for older adults. Dr Obasi has published in several international journals and is currently pursuing a PhD in Ageing and Rehabilitation at the University of Nottingham. He is an active member of the British Geriatrics Society.

Dr Myint Oo is a Senior Medical Lead at the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, Australia. He has more than 20 years' experience as a Senior Emergency Department physician. He, along with his team, established the region's GERI (Geriatric Evaluation and Rapid Intervention) and RaSS (Residential aged care Acute Support Service) programs and now serves as Senior Medical Lead for both. GERI supports older community members presenting to the Emergency Department, while RaSS delivers acute medical care within residential aged care facilities to reduce unnecessary hospital transfers. He believes high-quality research is essential to improving care for the ageing population.

Her qualifications include a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (UK), a Master’s in Dermatology (UK), and a Diploma in Medical Cosmetology (India). She further advanced her expertise with a Master’s in Gerontology (USA) and a PhD in Gerontology. In addition, she has completed a Fellowship in Diabetes, a Fellowship in Palliative Care Medicine (WHO), and holds a Wound Care Physician Certification (USA). She also holds a Diploma in Business Management as well as an MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management.

Dr. Thondavada is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Trinidad & Tobago Dermatology Association, the Caribbean Dermatology Association (CDA), the British Geriatrics Society (BGS), and the American Geriatrics Society (AGSF).

With over 25years of experience in medicine, she has spent 15 years practicing dermatology and more than 18 years dedicated to gerontology. She has also managed a wound care clinic in the public sector for five years. Carmelo Mesa-Lago is a Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh; a visiting professor/ researcher in 8 countries and a lecturer in 39 countries. Author of 95 books and 320 articles/chapters published in 9 languages in 34 countries, most of them on social security; his most recent book is Re-reform of Privatized Pension Systems in the World (Max Planck Institute of Social Law and Policy, 2012), Evaluation of Four Decades of Pension Privatization in Latin America (1980-2020): Promises and Reality (Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, 2021) and Efectos de Capitalization Individual en America Latina (CEPAL, 2022) and Comparative Economic Models of Cuba and China-Vietnam: Social Goals and Financial Sustainability (submitted to Oxford University Press, November 2022).
